Alyssia (she/her) received her Master’s in Science in Art Therapy and Counseling from Eastern Virginia Medical School. She also received her Bachelor’s in Science majoring in Biology with a minor in Studio Arts from Virginia State University. Alyssia is currently a Resident in Counseling under the supervision of Lori Graham, LPC. She is pursuing to become a Registered Art Therapist and working towards her Certified Eating Disorder Specialist certification under the supervision of Casey McDaniel, LPC, ATR-BC.
Alyssia has experience providing outpatient services to various populations, including children, adolescents, adults, groups, and families; as well as in community-based settings. She uses an integrated approach working with clients, while primarily relying on person-centered, solution-focused, and trauma-informed theoretical approaches.
In her free time, Alyssia enjoys spending time with her family, being outdoors in nature, and being creative through artmaking.
