Amanda attained her masters in counseling from Rosalind Franklind University in the Chicago area and soon thereafter began working as a licensed psychotherapist treating primarily children with mood and eating disorders. She has been working in the field of mental health for many years and in various capacities, though feels as if outpatient counseling is where she does her best work. Amanda recently moved to Virginia and PCFS is lucky to benefit from her services!
Amanda has experience working with children, adolescents, adults, and parents who have difficulty achieving victory over their anxiety and/or eating disorders. She has coached parents on how to support their child during the process and teach them how to return stability to their home. If you are a parent in need of education, support, or coaching to assist your child manage their anxiety, disordered eating, or behavior issues, she can help.
