Lori

Lori (she/her) has a Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling and certification in Play Therapy. She has extensive training in the treatment of childhood trauma, and a passion for making that work creative, engaging and child-centered. In addition, she is certified in Adoption Competency.

Lori’s work with children and families reflects her deeply held belief that trauma can create damaging behavior patterns with the potential to transfer from one generation to the next. until a family member takes the steps necessary to change. She is skilled in the treatment of trauma in individuals from the age of three through adulthood. In addition, Lori is adept in treating Reactive Attachment Disorder, Mood Disorders, Oppositional Defiant Disorder, and issues related to family disruptions and school refusal. She is available for in-person or virtual sessions, and embraces the idea that children often create their own worlds online. There, she can engage them in play with the same healing potential as they can experience in a therapeutic playroom.
